Litigation Executive/Paralegal - Legal Expense Insurance (Property Insurance)

Hybrid – During the initial training period, office attendance will be required three days per week. Once training is completed, this will reduce to one day per week.
We are looking for a Litigation Executive to join our busy and growing Legal Expenses Insurance Team!
What will you be doing?
This is a great opportunity for a Litigation Executive who is looking to build upon their experience, the successful candidate will assist with a wide range of insurance-funded disputes and advisory work for insurers, policyholders, and commercial clients.
The role provides excellent exposure to varied litigation, including landlord and tenant disputes, contractual disputes, consumer issues, property matters, construction claims including arbitration and adjudication and employment disputes. You will also carry out policy coverage assessments, draft advice, and support senior lawyers with more complex matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and maintaining strong client relationships with insurer clients, brokers, and policyholders.
- Provide clear and practical legal advice under supervision, ensuring commercially sound recommendations.
- Manage client updates, respond to queries promptly, and support the delivery of excellent client service.
- Handle initial requests for legal advice and support the assessment of appropriate next steps.
- Demonstrate professionalism in all client interactions and contribute to building the team’s reputation.

What do I need?
We welcome applications from candidates with previous experience, although this is not essential. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer/ litigation executive to develop strong technical, commercial, and litigation skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Ideally, you will hold a degree—preferably in law—although this is not a strict requirement. You should be able to work independently on routine matters while recognising when to seek guidance. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to progressing files are essential. You will be confident working both autonomously and as part of a team, and will demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, along with a willingness to learn and develop your technical expertise.
You will be a critical thinker, capable of understanding and, where appropriate, challenging information. You should be comfortable drafting clear and concise pleadings, correspondence, and advice, and be able to manage a varied caseload—covering both litigated and pre‑litigation matters—appropriate to your level of experience. Excellent organisational skills are key.
