About the team
Our fast-growing Property Risks and Coverage team works with some of the UK’s leading property insurers, handling a broad range of property damage claims arising from fires, floods, escapes of water, storms, explosions, vehicle impacts and more. The team manages both high-profile and high-value matters, including multi‑million‑pound disputes. With 8 Partners and around 70 fee earners, the team is friendly, supportive and ambitious, offering genuine scope for progression as we continue to grow.
What you’ll be doing
As a Property Insurance Solicitor, you will:
Support Partners on high‑value, complex cases while managing your own caseload of multi-track property damage claims (both claimant and defendant).
Review and analyse documents such as insurance policies, leases, contracts and expert reports.
Conduct investigations and work closely with policyholders, loss adjusters, counsel and experts.
Carry out legal research and analyse case law, statutes and commentary.
Produce high‑quality written advice, reports and correspondence.
Engage confidently with clients and third parties by phone, video, email and in person.
Conduct litigation, typically within the Technology & Construction Court or Commercial Court.
Maintain strong file management, time recording and financial discipline.
What do I need?
Qualified lawyer (0–4 PQE) with litigation experience.
Ideally exposure to property damage, professional indemnity, construction or commercial litigation.
Strong ability to analyse complex documents and conduct legal research.
Confident working with clients, experts, loss adjusters and counsel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organised, proactive and capable of managing a busy caseload.
Willing to learn, develop technical expertise and think critically.
