About the team

Our Complex Fraud team sits at the forefront of HF’s fraud strategy, working with major insurers to investigate and litigate large-scale, high-value, and strategically complex fraud cases. You’ll join a driven, collaborative, and high-performing group of specialists who share knowledge, support development, and consistently deliver best‑in‑class results for clients. The team is known for its innovative fraud strategies, strong commercial outcomes, and excellent client relationships.

What you’ll be doing 

Conducting file reviews and audits to ensure high‑quality case management
Supervising File Handlers, managing performance, workloads, time recording, holiday cover, and absence
Monitoring KPIs and service standards to maintain exceptional delivery
Driving financial performance through billing oversight and payment collection
Leading team engagement, productivity, and compliance with contracted hours
Providing training, coaching, and performance reviews
Producing MI reports for audits, reviews, and tender processes
Supporting recruitment and working closely with the People Team
Ensuring compliance with firm standards, Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, and Practice Management requirements
Overseeing profitability and success rates across fixed-fee and hourly-rate work


What do I need?

Minimum 4 years’ experience handling complex fraud cases
Proven supervisory and fee‑earning experience
Strong commercial awareness of departmental and firm-wide strategy
Excellent understanding of insurance law, CPR, and relevant case law
Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
An inspirational people leader who motivates and drives performance
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capability
