About HF

People. Not just lawyers

We’re not your typical law firm – we’re people with a passion for helping our clients and each other achieve the best possible outcomes. We are leading legal advisers to the insurance and commercial sectors across the UK & Ireland, known for our innovation, client focus, and long-lasting relationships. We do things differently, with a forward-thinking approach built around our clients’ needs, supported by cutting-edge technology and a culture built around people from a wide range of backgrounds who are taking an equally wide range of routes to building their careers in law.

About the team

 This is what the Hiring Manager, Raheema, says about the role;

"The Motor volume area is a fast paced, high-volume department dealing with a range of cases. You will be working alongside a friendly and approachable department who will share their skillset and knowledge to help you succeed in the role leading to a number of opportunities for progression. This role would be a great opportunity for someone with an enthusiastic and positive attitude to be a part of a great team and a firm with exciting times ahead."

What you’ll be doing

You will be handling a diverse caseload of defendant litigated files, from OIC to Fast Track. You'll review damages, develop case plans, and coordinate with clients, third parties, and insurers through negotiations and correspondence. Your role includes drafting legal documents, attending court hearings, and managing cases from start to finish efficiently and cost-effectively. You'll ensure compliance with legal standards, SLAs, and firm procedures while maintaining excellent time management and organisational skills.

What do I need?

To excel in this role, you will have at least 12 months experience in handling litigated claims; preferably defendant cases, and a good understanding of the CPR, SRA Code of Conduct, and motor insurance. Familiarity with medical reports is a plus.

You should be client-focused, organised, and able to meet billing targets while providing excellent client care. The ideal candidate takes initiative, adapts well to change, and works effectively under pressure - whether independently or as part of a team.

If you’re proactive, flexible, and committed to delivering quality work, we’d love to hear from you!

What’s in it for you?

Apart from the competitive salary you’d expect, our package of benefits reflects our values of partnership, innovation, and being real people. We’re committed to creating a dynamic workplace where everyone feels supported, empowered, and part of our success.

You’ll enjoy:

  • 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 30 with service) + Holiday Buy Scheme
  • Life Insurance & Income Protection
  • Private Medical Insurance & Healthcare Cash Plan
  • Employee Assistance Programme & Digital GP services
  • Pension Scheme
  • Electric Car Scheme
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity & Adoption Leave
  • Hybrid & Flexible Working Options
  • Discounted Gym Membership & Employee Discount Hub
  • Flu & Eyecare Vouchers – and more!

If HF sounds like a place where you could belong, we'd love to learn more about you!
