About the team
Horwich Farrelly (HF) is at the forefront of innovation in claims management, leveraging predictive analytics and advanced data science to transform performance and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients in insurance and beyond. The Predictive Analytics and Data Insights team works closely with legal experts, claims professionals, and technology specialists to embed analytics into HF’s workflows and deliver measurable impact.
What you’ll be doing
- Design, build, and validate predictive models for claims lifecycle optimization, indemnity spend reduction, and risk assessment.
- Apply statistical, machine learning, and AI techniques to large, complex datasets.
- Clean, transform, and structure data for modeling and analysis.
- Work with data pipelines and ensure data integrity across sources.
- Translate analytical outputs into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Partner with project managers, legal teams, and IT to integrate models into operational systems.
- Support innovation initiatives and contribute to HF’s data strategy.
What do I need?
- Strong proficiency in data science, data engineering and data visualisation platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau and SQL).
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and the development of predictive models, statistical analysis, and feature engineering.
- Knowledge of insurance or legal sector data is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
