So, could you be the perfect fit to join our Credit Hire department based from our Glasgow or Edinburgh office?

Our Scottish team is led by three Partners who are experts in their field, between them they oversee a growing team of approximately 10 Legal Specialists who are based in across our Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

What do I need?


You will have previous 12 months’ worth of experience of file handling experience or worked in the insurance industry. Proven experience of a litigated case load of Simple Procedure cases up to Evidential Hearing stage is advantageous.

Whilst experience and qualifications are desirable, above all we hire based on potential so, if you are enthusiastic and want to learn and develop within an exciting and niche area of law, we are able to offer you the training to succeed.

You will need to bring an enthusiastic and self-motivated attitude with a desire to achieve and exceed targets combined with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ability to demonstrate initiative and creative problem solving is desirable.

We would like to see a strong work ethic and a committed team player. We are a close knit and stable team that like to share ideas and experience with a view to achieving the best results that we can for our Clients.

What will you be doing?         

The Credit Hire team deal with insurance cases whereby a replacement vehicle has been hired on a deferred credit basis and it is their job to investigate the individuals, credit hire companies and beyond to determine if there are any fraud indicators and as to the genuine nature of the claim.


The successful candidate will predominantly be handling their own case load of pre-litigation and litigated Simple Procedure cases (dependant on experience). In addition, the team deals some of the highest value and most technically complex credit hire cases with some exceeding £50K. These can include appeals, credit hire fraud and strategic litigation; so the role represents a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to high quality and challenging work. There will also be ample opportunities to help shape strategy and for contact with insurer clients.
