About the Role

What will you be doing?

You will be not only be trusted to work by your own guidance but as part of our successful Large & Complex team. As you will have already completed a law degree/GDL/LPC or equivalent qualifications or have previous file handling experience/ worked in the insurance industry you will be ready to assist and handle defendant files under close supervision.  Ideally, you will have at least one year’s experience working in a law firm/insurance company.

You will deal with an extremely varied caseload of files and assist other Fee Earners as and when required. This includes EL, PL, animal act claims, property damage, household claims, RTAs, liability investigations and fatality claims; as well as assisting two Associate Partner with direct client account management and development. Don’t worry if you don’t have experience in all of these areas, full training will be given! This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to complex claims on behalf of national insurers in a communal and nurturing environment.

This role will give you exposure to high value, excellent quality work, giving you the opportunity to develop and flourish in your legal career. You will be assisting two Associate Partners with a range of complex and interesting cases as part of a team of six to enable us to continue to provide the service that our valued clients expect and deserve.”

 

What do I need?

You will need to have completed a law degree, LPC or GDL and ideally also have a minimum of 12 months experience in a claim handling role, handling preferably a litigated defendant caseload.

Whilst we do offer hybrid, flexible working, you will be required to work from our office in Whiteley for at least 3 days per week (Wednesday and Thursday plus one other day).  You will be able to work from home, if you choose to, on the remaining two days of the week.
